I just assumed that ColorSynergy's grayscale scanner profiler used the normal color
IT8 reflection target.
After I read your post I looked in the colorsynergy manual but couldn't see any
explicit reference to the IT8 target having to be different from normal. I haven't
had a chance to check this out yet with one of my scanners, I'm a bit snowed under
just now with end of year exhibitions. I'm sure someone on this list would know for
sure.
