Not likely, but possible if the quality of the UV filter itself is poor.

Hi Marcelo (& Graeme)
We recently purchased an EyeOne Pro with a UV cut filter. When I posed a
similar line of questions to a sales rep at Gretag Macbeth he explained that the
UV filtering was to the illumination source in the EyeOne and NOT the sensor.
There fore only media that fluoresces under UV illumination would have affected
readings. Media's that don't have UV reactive brightners would read normally
since the only change the cut filter introduces is to the UV component of the
illumination source.
I've only been using this unit for a couple of months, but it does seem to be
performing as promised by the folks at Gretag. I haven't yet tested it with all
the Epson "Premium" papers but the "Premium Glossy seems to profile very well on
a 1280 using the EyeOne UV with MonacoPROFILER 4.5.
