Good-day to you all,
I need a little advice regarding scanner profiling and I hope there's
someone out there who can help me. I am trying to profile a clients UMAX
scanner which is set up using it's proprietary software in combination with
Binuscan software. The client doesn't want to change the way he is scanning
(I am working on this) so I have to live with it. Does anyone know what
Binuscan does to the scanned file? It embeds a profile called
'Binuscan.icm'. I would like to know if this the same one every scan or if
it creates a new profile after each scan.
When I make a conversion using the embedded profile I get a result which is
too magenta overall ,especially in the blues, and a little too thin. I can
make corrections in my destination profile but realise this is not the
correct way to proceed however I cannot correct the embedded profile. Anyone
got any ideas? The software I have available to me is Monaco Profiler 3.2
and ColorBlind Edit.
Andy
