FWIW, we purchased the UV model and note a difference in profiles. The UV
version has improved our inkjet only profiles for the 3000 Epson
w/Generations ink set and the 7500 Epson w/pigmented ink set. We can see the
difference and are happy w/the purchase.
One must take into consideration the UV filter aids primarily in profiling
papers using enhancers or brighteners on coated papers. If you are not using
these papers, it might not be worth the increased cost. But, as I say, we
note a difference and that is a clearer or cleaner print using the same inks
and paper combo.
