Mary,
Somerset enhanced paper did not perform well (longevity-wise) with any of
the major Iris ink-sets (i.e. Equipoise, Pinnacle Gold, and, I believe, the
Lysonic W-2). As I recall, the results were so dismal that even the
manufacturers and distributors discouraged the paper's use for any
meaningful printing using Iris ink-sets. This information used to be on
"www.wilhelm-research.com" but for the last year that site seems to have all
but disappeared.
As alternative "enhanced/coated" papers for the Iris: 1) Arches for Iris
works fairly well with Equipoise and Pinnacle Gold; and, 2) Lysonic Fine Art
Papers with the Lysonic W-2 ink-set (excellent combination with decent
longevity). Personally, I like plain old Somerset Velvet Radiant White with
Pinnacle Gold, it profiles very well, prints great and is rated (more or
less) at 65-70 years.
Hope this helps.
Jim Morris
