Re: earlier post of Somerset paper
Even though the subject of fading papers could perhaps find a better home
than this forum, anyone using the Somerset PE papers should avoid it like the
plague, unless thoroughly tested. We had a very bitter experience from this
product fading, from an Epson 9000 dye machine. The results were great at
first, but cost us MANY thousands of $$$$$$ from fading. Had to redo all
jobs, even though they were stored in various portfolios, galleries, a
museum, photographers studios and offices. We've been in business over 30
years, and have never received such shabby treatment from the distributors,
who offered to give us "several sheets of paper". Agfa, Kodak, Ilford, etc
would have bent over backwards to correct such a problem. Work done on this
same printer has held up well, when printed on other products.
Regards,
Ken
