In halftones up to about 133 LPI this is possible with the latest inkjets,
but in order to get actual, not simulated, dots, you need a mechanism that
will work with your imagesetter seperations, which is not a function of
common two or three thousand dollar RIPs, but something that more expensive
specialty systems do.
