Epson 5500 paper

I have a client set up with a 5500 and a color managed workflow. I finally got the Mac Fiery Spark under control and all is well--sort of. The issue is that they want to continue printing on their cheap epson Inket photo-quality paper because--you guessed it--it's cheap. The output on that paper is very faded. Relatively accurate with the profile I created, but it's so desaturated they find it unacceptable. They love the prints on the Archival Matte Paper and the Professional Glossy Paper, but too much $$. The cheap paper is about .30 per sheet. Archival Matte runs about $1 and the prof glossy is even more.

Does anyone have a recommendation for decent paper for under $1 per sheet? They're getting ready to toss this printer because of this problem!
