Hi Alan,
Colorbyte's ImagePrint RIP is ideally suited for the 9600. The user
interface is intuitive and no other RIP comes close in terms of brilliant
color and smooth tonal gradations. The other pieces you'll need for full
color management are a spectrophotometer and a profiling application.
If cost is an issue and you don't need to make a large number of profiles,
Gretag Macbeth's Eye-One spectro coupled with the MonacoProof profiling app
is a great combination. If cost isn't a major concern, then Gretag's
Spectrolino coupled with Profile Maker 4.1 Pro is a tough combo to beat.
