RIP info needed

My company, a small art studio, is trying to take the first steps into
managed color output, and I need some advice before diving in headfirst and
hitting a submerged log.

We are demoing a Epson 9600, and if the print quality is good enough we will
purchase it. What I need to know is what other "stuff" that I will need to
purchase. I have seen Best and ColorByte on this list quite a bit, but I am
sure I will need to purchase other hardware and possibly other software to
make this a viable color solution. Any suggestions will be appriciated,
best of all would be a mid-price shopping list for all the extra stuff I
will need, as well as media recomendations.

Thanks in advance!
