Mac JPEG's on the internet

Hey guys. I'm trying to update my website with new images, and when I get
them all saved and uploaded on the site, they look much to dark on all my
friends' PC's. I use a Mac at home (calibrated and color managed), and I
suspect it's the 1.8 versus 2.2 gamma issue. Is there an easy formula for
taking a Mac image and saving it so it looks more-or-less bright enough for
web use where everyone has PC's?

Apples & Oranges can be compared by adjusting the levels midtone values
in Photoshop. In levels (image>adjust>levels) move the midtone value
from 1.00 to .90, you now see what a PC computer sees. To "fully"
compensate move the value from 1.00 to 1.10. Generally I use around 1.04
- 1.07 when making adjustments for the web, depending on the image's
highlights and darks.
