Can you do custom profiles for these rips in CMYK and RGB?
You can do visual linearization with a curves table editor to make an
appropriate output for proofing if really needed , if not just use the
pre-made resolution dependant linearization tables. The profiles created
for the paper used will be CMYK but will extend to the best color range
built by these CMYK numbers. In other words you can print your rgb images
(with profiles) to the extended gamut of the printer with out calling a
press profile simulation.
Just contact Best USA and they'll send you the appropriate demo (s). They
out of the box profiles work well especially with their selected papers.
From what I saw the ink sets on the 2100, 7600, and 9600 give a very neutral
grey with a nice full gamut without any apparent grain.
They had the Designer Edition for OsX Jaguar on all the machines at the
Apple Expo Paris. They are working hard at a near launch of this version.
