Hi Tom.

I have tried profiling my LS4000 and LS8000 but there is no place to load a custom profile in Nikon Scan. I even tried playing a shell game with Nikon Scan by trying to find the manufacturer profile in it's folder structure and switching profiles with my own. I gave up.

The thing is, I have found it unnecessary to profile anyway. When I open the images in Photoshop they always match the way they appear in Nikon Scan. Set up your preferences with Nikon Color Management System checked on, load your custom monitor profile, and pick your RGB space. I use Wide Gamut because I like the way it encompasses my Epson 1280 and ColorLife paper. I do most of my edits in Nikon Scan to 14 bit and fine tune in Photoshop 16 bit. I can't find any image degradation no matter how hard I look. That's what's cool about 14 bit!

Gary
