"In order to get the most brightness from a cheap monitor, I set its color
temp to 9300K and calibrated to 5000K.
It worked, with significant more light output than with the preset at
6500K..."
Amazing. I thought it was just me. When I set the hardware setting of my 17
inch Apple Monitor, the MultiScan 720, to anything lower than 9300K it is
extraordinarily dark yellow. I have read nothing but recomendations for lower
settings, but no matter what I do, nothing else makes white things look white.
I wish I would have gotten a ColorSync monitor, but I didn't know the
difference at the time (1997), and I thought it was a good one.
So, is the 720 a cheap one? Has anyone else experienced this problem with a
monitor that is supposed to be a good one?
Thanks.
Jeff.
