I like what I am hearing about Image prints ability to produce stunning

But will it stand up in the Pre press proofing world. Will the proofs
from this rip be accepted by clients & printing houses as contract
proofs for direct to plate presses I would like to here from somebody
that does press proofing with ImagePrint .So far it has been suggested
that for proofing for press cmyk Best color proof is a good choice. Along
with your own custom profiling .
ImagePrint suggest that you don't need to do your own profiling they
handle that with there own system-3 color profiling- comments welcome.
At the prices of these rips I would like to use one rip for both
applications Ripping Postscript files from layout programs for proofing
and RGB files for Fine art Reproductions

Hi Jamie,
My experience with ImagePrint is for photographic reproduction so I can't
speak directly to it's capabilities as a pre-press proofer. However I'd
expect that it could also do that job very well.
Download a demo copy of ImagePrint from the ColorByte web site and check it
out it's proofing capabilities for your self. If you have specific
technical questions the folks at ColorByte are usually pretty good at
getting them answered.
I'm pretty sure ImagePrint will support a full CMYK workflow if that's your
preference. However, one option I'd consider is an RGB proofing workflow,
with a final conversion to CMYK at the end based on a reliable ink/ media/
press profile from the shop that will be doing your printing. Just a thought....
