I recently published this sort of analysis in the WMU Profiling Review. I
described the process to get the Lab values using Photoshop and compare them
to the target values. I tested input profiles from Heidelberg ScanOpen,
Gretag ProfileMaker, Monaco Profiler, Fuji ColourKit, ColorBlind,
ColorSynergy, Kodak ColorFlow and a generic profile. I got Delta E that
varied from 0.67 to 29.37.
For the full document that describes these results in detail send an e-mail
to email@hidden with WMU Profiling Review in the subject line. The
report also describes how to assess accuracy of monitor profiles and printer
profiles and ranks the products from all the above vendors.
