Thought that I'd resubmit the following as I've had no replies, thanks.

I have just sent a Catalogue out for printing by a printer after first
printing it on our Phaser printer. The difference in colours makes me think
that my colorsync setup is not correct. My blue is going to print as an
almost black purple.

I have my devices setup as:
Input: srgb (for a Canon digital camera with no
specific color profile)
Display: my calibrated setup for my IBook LCD
screen
Output: Phaser 850 enhanced
Proofer: Phaser 850 enhanced
Documents profiles:
RGB : my calibrated setup for my IBook LCD screen
CMYK: Phaser 850 enhanced
Gray: Generic
Lab: generic

Looking at these settings makes me wonder if the document profiles are
correct, I can't find much information on how they relate to the workflow.
I can see how the devices profiles relate but I'm totally lost on the
document profiles.

Apple's documentation leaves a lot to be desired in how to set up the
document settings in particular.

Does anyone have some helpfull hints or a reference to a good layman's guide
on colorsync settings?

Of course I'll also have to review my photoshop and InDesign color
settings. What fun!!!

Thanks
John
