Most of the desktopscanners gives us blurry and/or newtonringed scans.

Any suggestions??
I'd just put the film in a holder and scan it flat bed. If the film is fresh
there will be a lot of Newton rings on it but when aired the drying
chemicals dissipate. I'm now scanning negs with Silverfast on my A3
Heidelberg with very good results. Black and white negs though are better in
Linocolor.
Are the scans soft with the Imacon or can't you scan 8x10 with it?
