I'm trying to help a client to find a superior and affordable solution
to
scan 8x10" negatives, both b/w and color. We have tested
everything, from Imacon 2848 to several desktop-scanners
with transperency-units. But no devivice produce what we are going for.
I.e the same quality you get from a 4x5/5x7 Imacon-848 filmscan or
similar. A glassfree and flat scan.
Most of the desktopscanners gives us blurry and/or newtonringed scans.
Any suggestions??
Yes, drum scanning. If you would like details of the service we offer
photographers and designers here in the UK and further afield, please go
to www.prodig.org and have a look at the labs and bureaux section. I
will be glad to help you in any way I can off list.
Cheers
Richard
