After we upgraded one of our Macs to OSX (10.2.4), ProfileMaker
doesn't seem
to find our Sectrolino/-scan. My guess is that it's because we use a
Ariston
USBiSerial2 adapter, and I don't think this is supported under OSX.
I'm I
right in this? (I've tried searching for an OSX-driver on the web, but
can't
find any.)
I have talked with Gretag (we had problems connecting at first to the
G4 macs) and they recommended the Keyspan adapter. We have used the
Serial Card (with 4 serial ports) and the USB to serial adapter from
Keyspan, both with great success. I haven't had problems with the
adapters drivers, but more often than not, it has been the driver for
the profiling software.
From everything I have looked at and tested, this seems to be the best
way (until the hardware guys start making USB devices!).
