HI!
Thank you for the reply.
The color management is taking place from color sync
settings in os x? not my colorsync settings in
classic?
i hear ya on the paper jams as they are daily. Do
you know of a good replacement for my 3000? Thats OSX
compatible?
thanks every one who has responded.
No, there is zero color management built-in for the Epson 3000
running through the Stylus RIP, regardless of operating system. Any
color management you do is entirely separate.
Replacements in that price range that include a postscript RIP
running in X are rare. X compatible, yes, by running Classic.
Possibly the 10ps has a X native RIP, but I'm not sure. Navigating
HP's Web site to find out is quite a job. They do have a 20ps X
native RIP, although network setup is clunky. It uses hot folders
instead of showing up as a printer on the network, despite the fact
that the docs say it will show up as a printer.
