Can Illustrator 8 be profiled with the Epson driver and/or Epson

Guess the better question is can the Epson printer be profiled using
Illustrator 8, and Quark?
Yes, no problem. If you're using the Epson RIP, then you are printing
with Laserwriter 8 or Adobe PS. Just print your target through the
RIP from Quark (without color management), Illustrator or your
profiling application. Don't use "colorsync color matching" or
"postscript color matching" in the print dialog box.
If you're using Quark or Illustrator, you need to use the RIP.
The next question is how to implement the profile, which is a more
complicated issue.
