I don't think you can force a custom ICC profile into the dialog box of
Adobe PS printer driver. Not to my knowledge. And if you do, I don't think
the result will be anything like what you expect, AFAIK. I think the best
you can hope for is a way to "load" your custom profile on the CLC side,
associating it with one of a dozen predefined generic profile slots --
assuming a Fiery RIP environment. Unless the RIP affords you something along
the line of PhaserMatch (Xerox), which allows to 'patch' a PPD with your
custom profile, I think you're pretty much at the mercy of the RIP.
I heard that there is a new Fiery RIP that finally accepts (don't know to
what extent) custom ICC profiles.
Wish I could help you more. In the limited CLCs sites I had to deal with, in
the past, we got good results just sending with CMYK simulation = None in
the PostScript driver, leaving the color management to the host application.
As we were sending from Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, that did not
pose a problem.
