You then are assigning less saturated values to the same RGB definitions with
the smaller space, decreasing the saturation of the image differentially,
depending on which of the primaries are increased more. You are also
potentially moving the hues about a bit as well, and possibly messing with
the gray balance/ gamma, etc... when you lie and tell Photoshop the image is
in one color space when in fact its in another.
