Dave Robertson,
I've been experiencing the same problem with the
square and the horizontal lines. Gretag sent me a
beta
version of the new 2.0 software and along with an
upgrade to 10.2.5 the square problem has been
vanquished.
However, like your situation, the horizontal lines
persist. For me, the lines appear on every third or
fourth startup.
I am able to make them go away by restarting once.
It's both annoying and frustrating since it's a back
and
forth blame game between the i1color guys and Apple.
i1color told me that I needed a "firmware" upgrade on
my three week old G4 Powerbook. This is after
AppleCare advised a clean install which I did.
I have now taken the beta version of 2.0 to the real
2.0 version following a download from the Gretag
site, which was also a technical fiasco. I'm sure it
was my fault, at least that's what tech support would
say! Were you blamed for being Canadian?
I have no idea when or if this problem will be solved.
By the way, I have a 1Ghz TiBook with 1 gig of ram
configured and purchased directly from Apple. I'm
guessing that you have the same setup. I also run a
20" Apple Cinema Display with the TiBook and the
lines are also visible there. But being a Cinema
Display the lines are much more beautiful!
