OK, my Apple dealer's useless and can't/won't get me answers. The
"square effect" seems to be dealt with in the OSX.2.5-Eye-One Match 2
relationship but there's still the "pinstripe effect" when booting up
with the profile. I can work around this by booting up with any of
the canned monitor profiles selected and then manually selecting the
one I need but obviously something isn't right. The advice I've got
that makes the most sense (thanks to this listgroup) is it's a video
card driver issue. Why can't/won't Apple deal with this? I
understand there's a certain futility in calibrating/characterizing a
ti-book given the variables of location, display angle etc and I make
most of my decisions on a 21" Sony CRT but it makes my back hurt when
I carry it <g>
Thanks for any advice, esp from any Apple techs lurking out there..
Dave
