I assume you're printing thru the driver (RGB) instead of a RIP (CMYK).
Since you're "unlinearized" thru the driver, I'd use a target with the most
patches you care to read. With PM that would be the 2.88 or 9.18 RGB
targets. For CMYK "linearized" RIPs, I tend to use LESS patches rather than
more and seem to get better results. Your mileage may........
