Well, if you've got a better monitor,
there is often a software tool available to make
settings to your monitor (via DDC, USB cable or
serial cable).
I'm using the mitsubishi tool since years
to set the guns. One step via the front panel
are three steps in the software.
It also has the advantage that I can place it
anywhere I want on my desktop, while the
onscreen display user interface is fixed at
the middle of screen.
