Well, you know, that's funny. Yes, I agree that the expectation among this
group and many other 'color' reproduction specialist is that jobs are to be
be viewed under somme flavour of 5000K lamps for critical color appraisal.
But I've also heard that some ink companies mix their inks for D65 matching
and there the rationale I heard is that clients will naturally take their
printed sheets nearby a window to view them under daylight? So, in those
instances, I was told, D65 should be the reference illuminant -- not D50.

Go figure!
