Another possibility for tracking the drifts of your output devices is using
the free shareware measurment-application basICColor catch with the
"control"-feature. There you're able to define the E thresholds for paper
white, peak, average and the primaries. In addition you can define a patch
group which you would like to control. So for example you can define the
"gray balance" patches in your target and then you can control these patches
with your predefined E-value. When you measure your control strip the
results are visible at one glance - with a simple red/green "traffic light"
system. You can also save and print a complete report to get all necessary
information.
For more automation you define once your job and for future measuerments you
only have to start your Jobdescription and then the measurment window
appears with all parameters you've set up and you can start to measure. So
it's very easy that every employee can start a job, measure and he know's
immediately if the output device is outside the defined tolerances!
More info you can find at:
http://www.basiccolor.de/english/Datenblaetter_E/control_E/control_E.htm
In addition you can donwload the free shareware basICColor catch and you can
get a 14 day demo for the "control" feature:
http://www.basiccolor.de/download/trial/downloads.asp
(Sorry, the download area is still german only but soon also in english. You
have to type in your name and e-mail-address and immediately you'll get an
e-mail with the direct download-link!)
