However, you may still have an issue, a Colorimeter like eyeOne
Display or basICColor Squid may not be up to the job of matching
dissimilar screens. If using the demo of basICColor Display SW with
your eyeOne Display doesn't do the business, then try loaning an
iOne Monitor or Pro if you can and run that - the spectral
measurements of a spectrophotometer allow a much more complete
characterisation of your 2 screens.
Neil is, of course, talking about profiling two different monitors
simultaneously on one computer, but could someone comment about the
difference between using a colorimeter and a spectrophotometer to
profile a _single_ monitor?
The reason I ask is that I was advised that using an Eye-One Display
to profile my monitor might actually give me better results than
using an Eye-One Pro. The explication was delivered quickly and flew
a little above my radar at the time, but seemed to make sense.
Was this just hyperbole to get me to buy (thrown in with the
redemption of my Eye-One rebate, essentially) an Eye-One Display
along with my Pro, or was there a good reason for the recommendation?
Thanks in advance,
-=-Dennis
