I agree, and the net result of this particular situation is that your
color management is essentially reduced to the capability of the typical
Windows box. However at least when I'm on Windows I'm never under the
assumption that OS is handling color properly either so I know what I'm
starting with, and how the apps will (or won't) handle it. I have to say
that while Colorsync is intended to be quite self explanatory, user
friendly, and powerful, after following this thread I can only say that
if color experts are still getting their hands around this (and I am not
faulting them in ANY way here), the average (non-color geek) user is
DOA.
