If you choose No Color Correction in the driver, then that entire ColorSync
pane is inactive... which is really should tell you, but it doesn't. So the
process is exactly the same as it was in previous versions, except for the
"ScareWare"...

The driver is one question... ColorSync is another, and the one I think you
actually mean here. ColorSync, unfortunately, shows you settings, but does not
allow you to select them, in the driver's new ColorSync pane... and shows them
to you identically whether they are active or inactive. To actually change
these settings (which many brands of printer drivers don't actually allow for)
you need to go to the ColorSync Utility and set the profiles there. Then you
need to use a setting like Printer Color Management or PostScript Color
Management to trigger the conversion... which unfortunately is not available
in most
of the applications where you would need it, that is, the ones that don't
allow you to convert on the way out at the application level.

Not something you need to worry about for most workflows... if you wish to
actually use ColorSync for your conversions, and can get the controls and
rendering intents you need that way, then you can experiment with applying
such
filters (which may or may not actually have anything to do with color
management,
even though thats where they are accessed), within this workflow.
