Standards are selectively instituted at will... just try using a low cost PC
SCSI card with multiple devices, and you'll see a good example of incomplete
standards compliance. I suppose it makes an interesting legal question whether
its allowable to utilize a subset of the JPEG2000 standard, but it would be as
thorny as suing MicroSoft for noncompliant JAVA...
