Grant, just another data point in agreement here with Bruce &
Roger....no problems printing to Epson 2200,3000 [or Fujix 3000]
using custom profiles using Adobe Apps. I never print from Apple/OS
level CM apps for accurate color nor expect accurate thumbnail color
in finder......vestigial low expectations from colorsync v1 days and
before :).
BTW,I am still in Jaguar.... for my work,Panther has yet to offer
compelling reasons for upgrade. I hope we'll see a cycle of OS
development from Apple that refines core functionality now that the
eye candy is in place.
best wishes to all for the New Year
I don't try to print from Preview, or iPhoto, or anything else that
relies on OS-level color management. I hope that some day it may be
safe to do so, but that day clearly has yet to arrive. But I don't
have any problems printing from Photoshop, InDesign, or Acrobat.

I concur with Bruce's experience that, as long as one stays under the Adobe
color umbrella (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat), then one can
expect consistent results. I know I certainly do.
