Hi folks
I was wondering if anyone had experiences with ORIS Colortuner 5.x (Good or
Bad). I'll be setting up a machine which most likely will be running this
software. It will not be used as a proofing device, it's primary use will be
nice looking (icc profiled) prints.
Reading through the ORIS manual it seems all the nice controls (semi ICC
based - claims to be much better) is only usable when you want to simulate
another device.
My client want to set it up to utilize the full gamut of his HP 5500, not
simulate something else.
In this scenario, will it be possible to convert to the output profiles in
the RIP or do we need to convert at the application level (PS, InDesign
etc.). Reading the manual this is somewhat unclear.
Can anyone tell me if you can do the RIP linearization with an Eye One or a
DTP-41? The interface requires densitometric readings, but reading hundreds
of patches with a spot densitometer for the linearization seems ancient in
my ears.
Anyone?
Thanks in advance
Best Regards
