The softproof is lightening the black from monitor black, which is already
lighter than absolute black, exagerating the weak black. I deal with this by
adjusting the preview black when I'm building the profile, but the software
you are using doesn't offer that option; so it would be an edit after
construction to the preview side that would be required.
