Scanner based solutions are weak in defining the gamut limits, those less
useful with the gamut warning tool... for that matter they are less useful
with the proofing preview. You can work with these tools, and attempt to
bring the out of gamut colors in gamut to your own liking, but it will be
rather rough due to the limited accuracies involved. Trading up to
ColorVision's Spectro Suite for printer profiles would be a big improvement
in these areas.
