basICColor Scan problem

I am trying to profile my Imacon Flextight III with basICColor Scan. After bringing my scanned IT8 target and bring up the basICColor Scan filter in Photoshop 7 (on OS X), I can't get get past the "Choose Reference File" stage. I am choosing the correct Reference File for my IT8 (Kodak 4x5 1998.02) but I get the following error message:

Error - Cannot find a Target Definition which matches this reference file!

For the life of me, I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. I am not sure what they mean by the "Target Definition." The reference file is there - I can open it in Text Edit. I have tried placing the guides in every possible position on the IT8 target before trying to choose my Reference File, even though that does not seem to be a necessity at that stage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
