Dear Listmembers
Maybe this is trivial for you, but once you've got
it in your head....it gives you(me) sleepless nights.
The classic"Blue turns Purple and Red turns Orange" problem.
I'm helping a Lambda photolab here in Stockholm with profiling and
evaluation for optimum results.
We've tried almost every package in town, but always, in some degree,
this same problem. We mostly use PM4 and Spectrolino.
And don't mention inkjets, both profiles from ImagePrint and Bill
Atkinson
has these "faults".
I know about the Lab colorspace limitation, or
call it imperfection, which causes the "curved radials".
Both Bruce Lindbloom and the Real World CM-staff explains it very well.
But how do you work around it?
Simply adjust it in an edit?
I always get some other, small, problems in the profile when editing in
ProfileEditor.
Has this something to do with the ICC-spec, not considerating this
effect.
Thanks for the time
Sven Westerlund
