I agree. Before the color engine was revamped, it was a bitch to do. Now not
only is it simple, but it works really well. And when you see the HUGE
difference in the targets in ImagePrint verses the Epson driver with NCA,
you see how nicely ImagePrint handles the raw data.
The canned profiles are still pretty good and I suspect for many, fine to
use. But if you have the ability to build your own profiles, it does help a
bit (assuming a good profile package).
