Dear List,
I'm in the process of moving to Mac OSX and have been checking out
SilverFast software to drive my Linoscan 1800. I've been pretty happy
with the current set-up of Linocolor Elite and scanner profiles
generated from ScanOpen software. I'm guessing that I should be able to
generate a scan through Silverfast that can be used to build an input
profile in ScanOpen, without having to shell out extra cash on the IT8
enabled version of SilverFast. IF my assumptions are right, does anyone
have recommendations on the raw scan / CMS settings that I should use in
SilverFast which would get me colour managed with this combination of
software ?.
Linocolor recommended that the raw scan for profile creation was done as
'TIFF RGB', SilverFast seems to offer many 'Internal' working spaces for
RGB. Do these mean the same thing? Would the correct choice be the same
as establishing a good definition of RGB as per Adobe Photoshop ?.
Many thanks are appreciated for any insight you all may have
Simo Bogdanovic
