There are certainly at least two camps of thought on UV. Since UV and or
optical brighteners in the paper affect rather the whites and highlights,
software applied intelligent optical brightener correction works well for
many users needs. It's an approximation and can be off the mark. Yet so many
other factors will influence even the UV filtered model calculations that
this software correction can be a good compromise.
