There is a phrase left off the end of your last sentence: "keeps everything
RGB on the user side" would be more like it. Clearly it gets translated to
device ink colors for printing. There are RIPs that specialize in the use of
RGB profiles (ImagePrint comes to mind) or ones that allow RGB or CMYK in a
more standard manner, but without Best's exclusive focus on proofing
(ColorBurst comes to mind here).
