Kind of a triple header, but what the heck I'm pressed for time:

It looks like the Compare function broke with Jaguar (2 days after we finished the ^%$^% book!) Workaround is to use MeasureTool to do the comparison once you've massaged the data files in ColorLab.

Thanks for that. I was just about to start hacking the .plist looking for a system workaround. You're a gem...even if you didn't sign my copy of RCM. (i'm hurt.)

There's nothig special about custom targets. Open your measurement file in
TextEdit and check what's before wavelengths: if you have "SPECTRAL_NM_"
instead of just "nm" Color Lab is not able to open such a file (see above)
giving "wrong format" message.

Thanks for that too. We only have one Jaguar station (licence) so I bounced over to the 10.1.5 and the NM works fine there for most (not all), but I think once i get used to massaging these text/data file conversions it'll come more natural.

I have been trying to do this too and I also get a crash everytime I get to the compare point.
I was trying to check my scanner profiles, I tried IT8s and the HCT files no difference.
Bruce fraser replied to me that color lab is an unsupported software and to try it in the measure tool compare function. That didn't make sense to me so I gave up realizing that my scanner profiles looked good so if it aint broken dont fix it. Let me know if you figure the beast out

I've been working mostly with the ECI2002 and TC3.5 chart conversions for comparisons to my measured data, and also various custom charts trying to convert spectral data into Tdensity data because I want to get away from my colormouse CM2s for Tdensities. However, next week I'll be profiling a couple of Scitex scanners with the IT8 and probably looking for a direct approach to what you are doing. If it's not a system (jaguar) thing I'll let you know...

Thanks for all the help folks...always appreciated. Have a good weekend.
