Thanks for your help, I downloaded Toolcrib ( I was already in the process
of downloading it, but due to a duff connection I had to keep restarting the
download ).
I can get Toolcrib to recognise the DTP41 with no problems. It lists both
the Serial Ports as /dev/cu.USA28X11P1.1 and 1.2.
Toolcrib lists the Infrared port ( /dev/cu.IrDA-IrCOMMch-b) as the first - I
wonder whether that could be the problem. PrintOpen isn't getting as far as
the serial adaptor. Does anyont know of a way of disabling that port. I know
how to turn it off in the Network Preference Pane, but would I have to
delete it from anywhere else?
