Hmm...I have same set-up ATI PCI card and AGP NVIDIA card and Jaguar boots
fine! I'm on a Quicksilver 1GB.

Once PRAM is Zapped computer will look for the start-up system on the
default location - which is the first - Master - hard drive on the ATA
ribbon. If there is not one at that location - the computer will freeze or
display circle with a slash - it will not look any further for the next
available system. That's when, as you mentioned, booting up from the CD is
necessary. My recommendation is to install Jaguar on the factory default
Master hard drive - at least for maintenance and emergency maintenance.
