-- System set-up:
1ghz DP current( cheese grater) Power Mac running OS 9.22
monitor "1" is a Mit 2060u connected to the stock video card (Ati) using
the supplied adapter
monitor "2" is a Mit 2020u connected to an added ATi card ( vga only)
profiling set-up: Spyder with Precal ( 6500K, ) /Optical 3.74 (
native white point and 1.8 gamma)
No other monitor apps( adobe gamma, default calibrator) are active.
The 2020u ( monitor 2)calibrates/profiles well as expected.
The 2060u ( monitor 1) does not.
If it's set-up as the start-up/ menu bar monitor, Optical hangs
requiring a hard restart.
This problem is eliminated if "monitor 2"is designated as the start-up/
menu bar monitor.
Launching Optical and deselecting enable calibration produces that
awfull green cast
on monitor 1. It can not be eliminated by any amount of adjustment to
the RGB guns,
and requires a motherboard button reset as well as pulling
out/reseating the stock video card.
After doing this, there still is not a sufficient amount of luminence to
properly calibrate.
There appears to be no control panal for the stock video card . The
"clamping" option
on the monitor OSD has little effect.
Tried Adobe Gamma as an alternative . As the red gun slider is moved
,even slightly, the green cast immediately returns.
Any ideas what's going on here?
Thanks,
Martin Paul
