Well, I'm not holding my breath waiting for Epson to produce that CMYK
driver. Meanwhile the search goes on...
Pretty much in agreement with the rest of your comments, except that we've
been getting excellent results simply using Photoshop with custom (RGB)
profiles for an Epson 7600. This is proofing digital captures intended for
process color output, where we target the contract proofer. The main reason
I'm testing RIPs is to proof composed layouts - otherwise we're limited to
"loose color".
