Ain't that the truth. Gray balancing a RGB ICC profile with CMYK inkset is
asking for disaster. Then of course you are picking values for the Epson
gray balancer *visually* in whatever light source your viewing under. I
ain't going there.
On different note, has anyone ever succeeded gray balancing a RGB output
profile for an Epson? I mean even those of you with ICC editors that cost as
much as the 2200 printer had success? Sure you can gray balance a true RGB
printer like a Pictrography or Lambda but not printer with CMYK inkset.
